Abhishek’s responsibilities encompassed overseeing the culinary portfolio of 04 diverse outlets, along with managing a substantial banqueting space of 10,000 square feet. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in driving effective marketing initiatives, positioning of food and beverage of the hotel and enhancing guest satisfaction. Adding to his accolades, he successfully undertook the relaunch of Indian specialty restaurant “Chaandi “and the opening of the Rooftop Restaurant, Nebulae, in May 2022, further expanding Hilton Jaipur’s culinary offerings.

With a remarkable association of over 04 years with Hilton Hotels since August 2019, Abhishek’s promotion to the position of Operations Manager is a testament to his exceptional capabilities and dedication to Hilton Jaipur.

The airline’s inaugural flight from Ayodhya to Delhi, IX 1769, took off at 17:23 hours. Ayodhya is the 45th destination on the Air India Express network and the airline’s 3rd station in Uttar Pradesh, after Lucknow and Varanasi.

This milestone moment was marked by Aloke Singh, Managing Director, Air India Express, presenting the first boarding pass of the flight to the guests at the Ayodhya airport.

Speaking on the occasion, he said: “We are proud to connect Ayodhya directly to three metropolitan cities – Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata – at the very onset of operations from the airport. Given that these cities are major hubs on our network, they will provide pilgrims and tourists from Northern, Southern and Eastern parts of India with convenient one-stop itineraries to reach Ayodhya.”

Air India Express services from Ayodhya to Delhi will be available daily and tri-weekly to Bengaluru and Kolkata. Bookings can be made through the app and website, as well as other major booking platforms.

Air India Express operates both international and domestic services from the state of Uttar Pradesh. With a weekly schedule of 21 flights, the airline connects the sacred city of Varanasi to Bengaluru and Sharjah. Air India Express offers 60 weekly flights from Lucknow, connecting the capital city to Dubai and prominent Indian cities Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune.

Recently, the airline also launched the Vista VIP, its business class-like product, in a bid to enhance customer experience. The offering includes wider seats and increased legroom, Gourmair hot meals, additional baggage allowance, and Xpress ahead priority boarding services. Kris Peeters, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Mahesh Parasuraman, Partner and Co-founder of Amicus Capital, announced the signing of an EIB investment of up to $40 million in the private equity fund Amicus Capital Partners Fund II. It will support investments in Indian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in various economic sectors. 

The fund seeks to leverage digitalisation and technology to overcome geographic limitations and facilitate deeper market penetration. It does this by prioritising investments in digital-first business models, working with companies to strengthen their existing technology infrastructure, and helping management design clear digitalisation roadmaps to boost digital transformation in conventional businesses.  

The fund’s strategy of using digitalisation to support market access across a range of economic sectors is well aligned with the objectives of the Global Gateway initiative. Global Gateway supports sound projects that improve global and regional connectivity and works with partner countries to address the digital divide and further integrate into the global digital ecosystem. Amicus Capital Partners Fund II will also help local businesses expand, providing goods and services to underserved regions and populations and fostering sustainable, inclusive growth.

The inaugural direct flight on the Bengaluru-Kozhikode route, IX 0876, is set to depart on January 16, 2024, at 18:45 hours, reaching Kozhikode at 19:45 hours. The return flight, IX 0860, will leave Kozhikode at 20:15 hours, arriving in Bengaluru at 21:15 hours.

Speaking on the new route, Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India Express, said, “Kozhikode and Bengaluru stand as important stations within our extensive network, with Kozhikode hosting the highest number of Air India Express international flights and Bengaluru commanding the largest share of our domestic flights. The introduction of a direct flight connecting these two cities will facilitate convenient one-stop itineraries to numerous destinations across India and the Middle East, enhancing accessibility and convenience for the residents of both Kozhikode and Bengaluru. In the coming days, we will explore opportunities to expand our domestic connections from Kozhikode, providing even more travel options for our guests.”

The airline has released the schedule for daily non-stop flights between Bengaluru and Kozhikode, with bookings available through the airline’s award-winning mobile app and website, as well as other major booking platforms.

With this new flight, residents of Kozhikode now have access to convenient one-stop flights to 22 destinations, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Jaipur, Pune, Varanasi, and more. These destinations can be conveniently connected via Bengaluru, where Air India Express operates 344 weekly flights.

Air India Express operates 95 flights per week from Kozhikode to 13 destinations in the Middle East and two domestic destinations, solidifying its position as the largest airline operating out of Kozhikode. With the introduction of this new flight, residents of Bengaluru gain convenient access to connect to these Middle Eastern destinations via Kozhikode. 

With 90 flights operating weekly from Kochi, 58 from Thiruvananthapuram, and 52 from Kannur, the airline has solidified its position as the largest international airline on Kerala – Gulf routes. On the domestic front, Air India Express connects Kochi with direct flights to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and New Delhi. From Thiruvananthapuram, the airline operates domestic routes to Bengaluru and Chennai. Adding to that, the airline also announced Thiruvananthapuram-Kozhikode flights recently. Kannur has 42 international flights and domestic flights to Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.
